December Daily 2009

As promised, this is my completed December Daily 2009. Whilst I don't want to bore you with lots of photos I feel that I missed telling you about the build up to our Christmas due to my lack of blogging. So please forgive me for indulging a little in Christmas past.
The album measures 6 x 6 inches and is bound by 2 inch book rings. The chipboard cover is painted in 'Cranberry' paint by Making Memories. The inner pages are Dotted Swiss cardstock by Bazzill Basics (both white and red) and the cream snowflake transparencies are from Making Memories Mistletoe line. I wanted to keep a uniform design to the pages to help me finish the album, so the photo and patterned paper blocks measure 5 x 4 inches. I knew that if I were more freestyle like Ali Edwards' album I would find it hard to think what to do for each day and therefore not complete it. This approach worked well for me and I would definitely do it like this next time. The patterned papers are a mixture of Making Memories, Basic Grey and MME and not all this seasons. The epoxy, chipboard, vintage findings tickets and metal accents are from Making Memories. Other accents are from October Afternoon (snowflake rub ons on cover) and 7Gypsies (sticker). I used a digital stamp for the days on the photo blocks and an overlay for the journaling cards, both by Ali Edwards and christmas postmark by Katie Pertiet. I chose to use a corner rounder for the pages, photo blocks, patterned paper and journaling blocks - I love the unified look it gives.
I'm really pleased how it turned out, I'm really pleased I did it and I'm really pleased I've finished it too!
Ooh and here's what was propping up the album...ahh lovely flowers. The house needed some colour after the decorations were taken down so I bought some beautiful pink roses for the dining room and some red tulips for the hall.
As I was editing the photos I had taken this morning of my December Daily I realised that I had just taken my 10000th photo with my Canon DSLR camera which I got almost exactly 2 years ago - wow!
The vintage stacked photo frames used on the first photo and that seen in my Happy New Year post are both Katie Pertiet and were purchased along with other digital elements with a gift voucher I received for my birthday from Janine - thank you!
BTW. There's another new post for today below. You won't be able to get rid of me now I have more time on my hands!
