Life's Simple Pleasures
Thursday, 01 March 2007
Yesterday I was reading Ali Edward's blog, she had a photo of her son jumping on the bed. It reminded me of a photo I had taken of Matthew last summer and inspired me to scrapbook it (cardstock colour didn't come out well in the photo). Jumping on the bed is so much fun no matter how old you are, well within reason! I love it too, but then I loved trampolining at school so that figures. Can't wait for the boys to be old enough so that I can persuade Jeff we should get a trampoline!
Today's other simple pleasure was wearing my new pink socks from Fat Face. Oh, I never expected them to feel this good! Even Matthew said he loved them, especially because they were pink! Just had to take a photo to share them with you! I really only got a liking for pink since having my second son, when I realised that I wasn't going to get a daughter to dress in pink. I love pink, but it's not a colour that I would / could wear very easily, so instead I have a pink toothbrush, pink flip flops and pink gardening cutters and trug (you get the picture). Anyway let me introduce you to my lovely soft PINK socks...
I did a page last September called 'Everyday things that make me smile'. I wrote in the journalling "If I'm going to be at home with the boys, I may as well surround myself with pretty everyday things that make me smile and make housework less of a chore." It still represents my simple pleasures in life, a girl has to have some pretty things in a house full of boys!
And finally, did I tell you what a great husband I have (yes he doe's read this every so often!). He came home today from work not only sporting a gorgeous new hair cut, but also tickets to see Travis in May. Last time we saw Travis was over 2 years ago in London when Keane were supporting them, what a great gig that was! Very excited, just need to sort out a babysitter, any offers?
