Weekend Creative - The little and big list
Sunday, 03 February 2008
You should be well aware by now that I'm always inspired my Ali Edwards and the latest weekend creative prompt was great;
This weekend your prompt is to make a list of little & big things that were a part of your 2007. Your list could have as many things on it as you want, but I think the idea of going by your age is a great way to give you a bit of direction.
My little and big list
1. Jeff and I flew up to Glasgow for one night away to see Justin Currie in concert, staying away from the boys for the first time. (Jan)
2. Started my blog in January 2007; Half a cup of coffee.

4. Put together a cookery book for Matthew's Pre-school. (March)
5. Jeff bought me a big bookcase as a Mother's Day present in which to store my growing scrapbook supplies. (March)
6. Worked as a volunteer helper on friday mornings at Matthew's Pre-school.
7. Had to change plans for Matthew's 4th birthday party when it rained. Cancelled the bouncy castle and held the party indoor's with 14 kids and 19 adults (bit of a squeeze). (May)

9. Knitted and felted my first bag (in process of making my ninth). (May)
10. Got Callum's eczema under control following a couple of visits to a skin specialist at the hospital and finding a 'miracle' ointment that works wonders for him. (June)
11. Had a family photo shoot 'on location' with photographer Janine Boyd (my super duper friend). (July)
12. Held an outdoor party for Callum's 2nd birthday in a country park with our friends and family in Northern Ireland. (July)
13. Have to pay for four full airfares when flying to Northern Ireland now that Callum is 2. Very expensive. (July)

16. Decided to make and sell things at a local indoor market , not very successful. (Aug)
17. Matthew started First School (Sept)
18. Undetered I expanded my range of handmade things to sell, started using the name Hearts & Flowers. (Sept)
19. Went to a theme park - Legoland.
20. Callum lost his beloved little Fireman Sam and Tom. Looked everywhere for them; in the house, in the car, even went back to Matthew's school. They were found the following day in the letterbox! (Sep)
21. Received my first order - to make 8m of pirate themed bunting for a boy's bedroom. Then another order for 16m of pirate bunting a week or so later.
22. Met Justin Currie after a gig in Portsmouth, wow - still leaves me speechless! (Oct)
23. Callum started playgroup where the idea is to leave him for a couple of hours once a week. Still working on the 'leaving' him part. (Nov)
24. Saw Crowded House in concert, never thought I'd get to see them seeing as they split up 10 years ago. (Dec)

26. Callum took part in his first Nativity and met Santa for the first time.
27. Went to at least 7 concerts, haven't seen this many bands since before we had kids; Justin Currie twice, The Bluetones twice, Travis, Crowded House and The Stereophonics.
28. Never before have I built so many things out of sofa cushions; trains, boats, cars, rockets, buses, to name the most popular.
29. The most craftyist year yet; scrapbooking, sewing, knitting, painting wooden hearts, making christmas decorations to sell, making loads of christmas projects for the home, etc, etc.
30. By the end of the year I had sold a good amount of handmade items and made money. Not big bucks, it's not going to make me a millionaire but a good enough amount to make it worthwhile.
31. Made 15 mini-albums (I think), of which 10 I gave away as presents for people.
32. Took about 4500 photos!
33. Celebrated my 33rd birthday on 29th December.
Well that's it, thanks for taking the time to read to the end.
