Documenting a week in our life, Day 2 - Tuesday 26th July.

Morning. Chloe finds a place to nap on Matthew's bed (she usually sleeps on the guest bed, but we have guests - Jeff's mum and dad). Matthew loves her very much and it makes him feel special to have her on his bed. He's also just finished reading Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox, in just 2 days.

Around the house Callum's birthday decorations are still up...

The birthday theme was Harry Potter.

Disappointment. Halfords had no suitable bikes for Callum who has just learnt to ride a bike without stabilizers. We'd promised him a new bike of his own when he had learnt to do this, just a coincidence that it was around his birthday.

Back home and a search on the internet found a 16" bike in Argos. Back out in the car to buy it.

Once we'd assembled it he gave it a try on the driveway out front.

Half a birthday cake left.

Jeff finds some peace and quiet to study and Chloe is happy to join him.

Bedtime story. Down by the cool of the pool accompanied by actions!

With Jeff's mum and dad staying at our house we took the opportunity to go to the pub for a pint.
