The Big Balloon
Sunday, 24 June 2007
In Bournemouth there is a big balloon that can take you up in it's basket allowing you to see for miles, on a good day that is. Travis (the Scottish band) took a ride in it the day we saw them in concert, they also played crazy golf in the Winter Gardens - oh how I would have loved to have seen that! Anyway back to the balloon - everytime we go to Bournemouth Matthew asks if the balloon is up and we all look out for it as we get nearer in the car. A couple of weeks ago we had ice-creams in the Winter Gardens where the balloon is tethered, the balloon wasn't flying that day as it was too windy even though it was a beautiful day. But just after the boys had finished their ice-creams the balloon was untied and allowed to go up a little higher. The boys stopped and looked, then ran a nearer to watch it, both boys standing there in wonder and amazement at this big balloon - naturally I took a picture!
I used some of the new fabric paper from the Love, Elsie collection by Ki Memories, perfect for this story. I also used some scalloped narrative paper by Creative Imaginations, thought it looked like clouds - love this line of papers, think you'll be seeing them a lot on my layouts!
This weekend it has been raining - literally non-stop, but even so it has still been a good weekend. Today we went shopping to get the boys new clothes - got some great t-shirts and a really cool rain jacket in The Gap sale, then had lunch and a latte in Costa Coffee. I even picked up a set of Hero Arts alphabet stamps. But the photos I want to share with you are from yesterday when Jeff took Matthew to the driving range at the nearby golf club - so, so cute. Watch out little Patrick, Matthew has been practising!
Have a good week!
