Hope, Happiness and HMRC.

Can't believe a week has passed since I last posted, here's the update. Last week saw Annie pulling my 'glad' layout out of the hat to win a 'glad' banner. Thanks Annie, can't wait to get it in the post!
Talking about getting things in the post... I had been waiting to receive a parcel of happiness (scrap supplies from 2peas in the US) in the post and as the time went on I was thinking something must have happened to it. I was right, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs had gotten their hands on it and charged me VAT. OK, hands up I'll pay that - not happy about it but I'll pay. But what I'm really CROSS about having to pay the £8 clearance fee to Parcelforce. I decided that I'd do a layout on this story, 'Happiness comes in a box from America, usually' and based the design around this weeks Pencil Lines sketch using some of the products from that order.
Last Wednesday we had an appointment to see the Skin Specialist for Callum's eczema, we left with more creams and some hope that we'd get his skin looking good again. Four days later his skin was looking great, the redness had gone down, the itching had stopped and the raw patches were healing. Today has been a different story; his face is very red and bumpy and he has started to scratch his neck and back again. I feel really disappointed that we can't hold the itching and soreness off for longer. We go back to see the specialist in a week's time, somehow I think it will be a long week. I am grateful that we got his skin looking and feeling normal for a couple of days and that we now know there is a cream that can treat it, it's just a shame that we can't use it for more than four days.
I have just finished making a Thank You card for Jeff's Grandparents, not an easy task when Callum wants to climb on the desk or get me to 'wind up' a little clockwork train. But it's done and I think it looks really cute...
Tonight I am going to see what will be Matthew's 1st School come September. I'm really looking forward to it, but I know that tonight it will really dawn on me that he is definitely going to be starting school, such a big milestone.
Also need to make three Father's Day cards when I return, well at least one so it can be posted in time!
