Callum started school today, can you believe it? He looked gorgeous and didn't shed a tear, so brave, so grown up. I hope he's enjoying it (yep he's there now, whilst I'm writing this!). This week he has afternoon sessions; 1pm to 2:45pm - that's not very long is it? Next week he begins morning sessions; 8:45am to 11:45am -... Read more →
...or rather from the sofa of my friend Sara's house. Making the most of lazy saturday mornings after a lovely evening out with Sara and Tracey (friends since our ante-natal group in 2003). We went to The Belvedere Arms near Ascot and it was packed, definitely the place to be on a friday night, no sign of the credit crunch... Read more →
One short week after coming home from our summer trip to Northern Ireland we set off again on holiday, this time to Cornwall. We had a lovely time with Jeff's family, who had invited us to share the holiday cottage with them near Looe. The boys loved having their Grandparents around and it was extra special because Jeff's brother Mike... Read more →

The day after Callum's 4th Birthday we left the new toys behind and jetted off to Northern Ireland for a week's holiday. We had a lovely week, spending lots of time with our family and friends, plus some tourist stuff too. I took over 300 photos, I had a very hard task of picking just a few to show you,... Read more →

Mind you this was 2 weeks ago, as you know by now I'm not a very frequent blogger these days, hence this announcement is late. He and his older brother are mad about Lego, and in particular the Power Miners range. For ages Callum... Read more →
Matthew's school holds a sports day with a difference, they call it Potted Sports (I have to confess that I have no idea why they call it that). Anyway, the school is split into 20 teams made up of 4 kids from each year group. They remain in this team for all subsequent years and siblings are placed in the... Read more →
A couple of Sundays ago Callum's pre-school held it's annual family sports day. We cycled to it (Matthew's first time on the roads although most of it was on footpaths), taking a picnic and thankfully the rain held off. Callum entered lots of races and Matthew was able to do some races as well. Callum received a medal for the... Read more →
The Good. Legoman Matthew entered a lego competition at his school summer fair and guess what? Yep, he was the winner in his year group! He built a ship complete with engine room, bridge, man overboard, shark, boardwalk, anchor, waves and cargo. Fathers Day was lovely, the boys both made cards and I made Jeff a mini tag book of... I had a good fair at the weekend, hurrah! It's been a tough slog this year, the credit crunch has most definitely hit the craft fairs and this was the best fair I've done this year with regards to takings. This fair was held at a large shopping centre, Castlepoint on the outskirts of Bournemouth. Because we were outside I... Read more →
